Peppermint Leaf

AKA: Lammint, Brandy Mint

Excellent Digestive Herb
~ Great for Children ~

Most commonly used in tea form but also pleasant to chew.  A cool sweet snack is 3 parts Peppermint & 1 part Stevia leaf mixed together.  I keep it in a small mason jar.

Peppermint helps to relieve gas pains, nausea, diarrhea, irritable bowels and motion sickness.

Reduces fevers, chills & colic.

Promotes an excellent nights sleep without nightmares.

Poultice on the chest for respiratory congestion.

Steam inhalant to clear sinuses or sore throat.

Increases mental alertness. Peppermint has also been used to reduce muscle spasms associated with endoscopy, colonoscopy and barium enemas.

Combines well with Chamomile, Linden Flowers or bitter herbs like Centaury or Wormwood to make them more palatable.

Ritual Peppermint:

Venus ~ Air

Healing ~ Cleansing ~ Purification ~ Dreams

Increases the positive vibrations.

Simmered on the stove, burned as an incense, consumed as a tea or used in sachets the value lies in the aroma which produces a heightened awareness.

For those doing active healing work it can magnify the intent and speed the process.

For cleansing and purification rituals it raises the vibration rate of negative energy to a more positive note.

Kept by the pillow and consumed as a tea before bed to end nightmares and increase the good dreams.

Smoking Peppermint:

Strong Mint Flavor

This is a great additive to help "tone down" bitter herbs like Calamus or Bitter Root.

Contributes a sweet, cooling, menthol flavor to any blend with the added benefit of decongesting the sinuses.

Peppermint Tea:

Soothes an upset stomache!

Wonderful refreshing drink both Hot or Cold especially on hot summer days.

Add to home made milkshakes or smoothies for a delightful zing.

Great for motion sickness & queasy stomachs or to bring down fevers. Perfect herb to combine with bitter herbs like Centaury or Wormwood to sweeten and make more palatable.
